Who are we?
Applied Language Solutions was founded in 2003 and provides language solutions to a number of well known organisations in both the public and private sectors globally.
Working across multiple industries and translating into more than 150 languages, the business has adopted and developed a number of technologies since its launch, in order to provide high quality, technically accurate translations to its customers worldwide.
The business regularly provides language services to customers including Nike, Sony, Google, Caterpillar and the United Nations, all of whom are reliant on both the human and the machine generated materials delivered by Applied Language Solutions, its file engineers and its pool of more than 16,000 in-country linguists.
Applied Language Solutions is a member of the Association of Translation Companies, The Institute of Translation and Interpretation, The Globalization and Localization Association and is DIN EN 15038 registered. In 2010 the company won a Queen’s Award for Enterprise.
Why did we join the EAMT?
Machine Translation and its implementation as part of the overall translation mix is a fundamental part of our strategy and offering. Applied Language Solutions believes strongly that done in the right way, and with the right types of content, it provides an invaluable tool to get more content translated that might otherwise not be.
As Machine Translation is adopted by more and more providers in the language services industry, listening to the EAMT and its members, getting involved with relevant events and keeping up to date through regular dialogue on technological developments will be crucial for reputable service providers.
